This is our go to Korean fix in Chatswood. It was very cold that night and the owner lady been taking care of us offering fish cake and extra soup for my son. And when we want to order more rice cake for the hot pot but they actually don’t have that on the menu, then she took it from the fridge and offer to us. Feel like she take care her customer like friends and family.

Perfect Late-Night Spot Joomak in Chatswood is a gem for late-night eats! As a late finisher at work, I love finding a place with delicious, comforting Korean food. The kimchi, kimchi soup, Korean fried chicken, and beef bulgogi are all top-notch. The staff are super friendly and pet-friendly, letting my puppy join us at the outdoor seating. They even helped me change my order after placing it—such great service! Highly recommend Joomak for tasty food, late hours, and welcoming vibes!

Incredible service, incredible food. Love eating here and have never had a negative experience. The fried chicken is perfection, would recommend the three colour chicken, any flavour will do. The rose tteokbokki is another standout dish. The rice cakes are perfect but the spicy rosé sauce is the hero, rich without being overwhelming. The service is truly incredible. The staff are warm, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations. They remember regulars and consistently go above and beyond to make sure every guest has a fantastic dining experience. If you're looking for delicious, Korean food served with genuine hospitality, this is the place. Highly recommended!

Oct, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~ We kicked off our weekend in the best way possible by returning to JooMak for dinner on Friday night after work. This cozy spot has become one of our favorites, filled with fond memories of delicious comfort food, warm and friendly staff, and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that always puts us at ease. For our meal this time, just the two of us, we went with: • Make-it-yourself rice balls – an absolute must for me! I always have so much fun mixing the seaweed, seasoning, and sushi rice, then shaping them into little rice balls. It's one of those simple joys that adds a playful touch to the meal. • Stir-fried Bulgogi set meal – and let me tell you, it was just as good as I remembered, if not better. The flavors were rich and comforting, the perfect dish to sink into after a long week. • Giant Pork Cutlet – their new addition to the menu for October. Our waiter, as friendly and helpful as ever, recommended this one, and we couldn’t resist giving it a try. The pork cutlet was huge—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a special sauce, crunchy French fries, a fresh salad with mayonnaise, and tangy pickled radish. Every bite was delicious, and we loved how the pork paired so well with the side dishes (banchan). There were just so many different ways to enjoy it! All the dishes were absolutely delicious, each bringing its own sense of comfort. The pork cutlet was a standout—gigantic and mouthwatering before we even took a bite, with perfectly seasoned fries and a sauce that tied everything together. It’s the kind of meal that just makes you feel good. We couldn’t finish all the food, so we took the leftovers (the Bulgogi and the pork cutlet) home, and guess what? They were still absolutely delicious the next day! It’s always a win when your meal tastes just as good on round two. I’m already looking forward to our next visit—it’s always a pleasure coming back for another comforting meal at JooMak! August, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~ I had dinner here with my friend and her family of four, and I enjoyed the food so much that I came back a month later with another friend. We loved the cozy ambiance, the friendly service, and, most importantly, the delicious food. I tried their fried chicken, stir-fried bulgogi, make-it-yourself rice balls, tteokbokki, and pork backbone soup. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had, and the refillable banchan were super tasty too. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing dinner after work, catching up with colleagues or friends over drinks and delightful food. I recommend making a reservation since the restaurant tends to get busy.

We order the beef backbone soup and snowy fries for 2 persons. The portion is massive compare to the price, tasty food and SUPER FRIENDLY staff. We keep asking for gloves, plate, tale away box and they always help us with a smile. Highly recommend.

Shop is always busy and open until late hours for dinner or snack or drinks. Tastes great, good portion size, tables are quite close together, but not claustrophobic though. Good selection of menus to choose from. Would like to go back and try other dishes

Went for dinner on ANZAC day holiday. Ordered the triple fried chicken & triple pancake and a set of so-maek. It was a feast for 2. Really good food. The snow cheese chicken is not too sweet and seasoned superbly. The chicken pieces were crispy on the outside and tender, juicy on the inside. The spicy sauce for the chicken was also great, just the right hit of spice. The trio pancake consists of potato, kimchi and chives. They are differently textured and it's a good sampler for people who enjoys a little bit of everything to taste. So-maek (1 soju, 2 cans of cass beer) set was only $28!! Affordable and taste really smooth for someone who typically prefers sweeter alcohol like ciders or moscato. Service was great and prompt. Food was also served very quickly, didn't have to wait. We were in and out in 1hr. Will definitely go back to try other dishes. We sat on the outside so it was fairly quiet other than the occasional honks by irritable drivers.
